Marline Kipper

I am the founder of Baby Muzzi and a mother of two toddlers.

When I lived in Melbourne with my first child, I discovered playmats that were almost non-existent in Europe — large, soft, truly easy to clean, and beautifully designed. When I returned to Europe and had my second child, I looked for exactly this kind of mat. And found nothing comparable.

Folding mats with crumbs in the seams. Puzzle mats that my child took apart faster than I could assemble them. Both ended up in the basement.

So I made the mat I wanted. I tested materials and surfaces, compared embossings, spilled coffee on them and wiped it off — using the daily life with two children and a dog as my benchmark. Every decision at Baby Muzzi came about this way: from real experience, not from an office.

Philippe Kipper

Philippe is the Creative Director at Baby Muzzi and the reason I even know how good a playmat can be. He recommended my first one to me when I was pregnant. Years later, I called him when Baby Muzzi started to take shape.

He designed the logo, developed the color concept, and accompanied every step of the design process. He lives in Zurich, has children himself – and has recently been using a Baby Muzzi mat. I say that not without pride.

Safe for your baby — independently tested

Safety was not a question of budget for me. Our mats have been independently tested and certified according to the EU Toy Safety Standard — this means specifically: tested for harmful substances, flammability, and mechanical safety. No lead. No phthalates. No questionable substances.

Safe for babies from birth. Made in South Korea.

You don't have to research this — but you can. The certificates are available.

What that means for you

When you buy from Baby Muzzi, you're not buying from a corporation. You're buying from a mother who knows exactly what you're going through—and who made this product for herself before making it for others.

Five mats. Ten designs. Made to stay.

Where everyday becomes childhood.
